The review scored seven local IT firms on 10 public criteria and found that only one publishes its prices, three claim a 24/7 help desk and four are locally owned.

SPOKANE, Wash. – IT Company Spokane, a buyer’s guide to managed IT services in Spokane and Spokane Valley, has released its 2026 study of the region’s IT service providers. The study scored seven firms on 10 weighted criteria drawn from public evidence, including reviews, pricing transparency, response times, certifications and local presence. It publishes a ranking of the best IT companies in Spokane with a full breakdown of every score.
The study was completed in October 2026 and weighed 428 Google reviews. Six providers appear in the final ranking. A seventh was reviewed and set aside because the editors could not verify a staffed Spokane office.
How the Study Was Conducted
The editors first built a list of every firm that ranks or advertises for Spokane IT support, using Google Maps, business directories and local business press. They then checked each firm’s address against building listings and public records to confirm it had a real local office.
Each firm was scored from 0 to 10 on ten criteria. The evidence came from the firm’s own website, Google, the Better Business Bureau, Clutch and press coverage. The weights were:
- Reviews: 20 percent
- Depth of service: 15 percent
- Local presence, years in business, pricing transparency, response-time commitments and certifications: 10 percent each
- Team size, industry focus and recognition: 5 percent each
Any claim a firm made without supporting evidence was scored as unverified.
A firm with only a handful of reviews could otherwise outscore one with hundreds. To prevent that, Google ratings were pulled toward the market average until they had enough reviews behind them. Ratings were collected on October 22, 2026.
“Most businesses here have to book a consultation just to learn what IT support costs or how quickly a provider responds,” said Jeff Crosswood, owner and editor of IT Company Spokane. “We wanted to put the public evidence in one place and score every firm the same way, so anyone can check the work.”
Close Scores at the Top of the 2026 Rankings
The final scores, out of 100:
- BCA: 71.5
- Executech: 68.5
- Design I.T. Solutions: 68.2
- Nuvodia: 67.1
- Cycrest Systems: 60.6
- CleverPath IT: 56.3
The top four firms finished within 4.4 points of each other.
Each firm’s profile shows where its score came from:
- BCA led mainly on pricing transparency and its review base.
- Executech scored well on security, compliance and certifications, backed by a company of more than 200 staff.
- Design I.T. Solutions had the broadest service pages of any local firm and a strong healthcare practice.
- Nuvodia has the largest locally owned team, with a 24/7 help desk and security operations center.
- Cycrest Systems, locally owned since 1990, scored well on reviews and years in business but lower on modern security services.
- CleverPath IT has the largest Google review base in the market and specializes in Microsoft 365 and Azure.
Four of the seven firms reviewed are locally owned. Executech and CleverPath IT operate Spokane branches of out-of-state companies.
“With the top four separated by less than five points, the right choice depends on what a business needs most,” Crosswood said. “For some that’s published pricing and short contracts. For others it’s around-the-clock security monitoring or experience in their industry.”
Pricing Transparency Remains Rare
BCA is the only firm that publishes per-user pricing. Its plans are $65, $140 and $180 per user per month. Nuvodia’s own pricing article puts typical plans at $100 to $200 per user. The other firms quote by consultation. Directory listings put hourly IT work in the area at $50 to $199 an hour.
Based on those figures, the study estimates that fully managed IT in Spokane costs about $780 to $2,400 per user per year. For example, a 25-person office on a $140 plan would spend about $42,000 a year. Hardware replacement, projects, security add-ons and software licenses are often billed on top of that. The full breakdown is in IT Company Spokane’s guide to IT support costs.
Support Hours and Security Services Vary Widely
Every firm in the study covers help desk support, cybersecurity, Microsoft 365 and cloud services. The differences show up in after-hours coverage and advanced security.
- Three of the seven firms claim a 24/7 help desk. The rest work business hours, with after-hours help on request or on top-tier plans.
- Two firms publish a response-time number.
- Three offer month-to-month or no long-term contracts.
For advanced security, three firms have dedicated pages for one or more of these services, and a fourth mentions them:
- 24/7 managed detection and response
- A security operations center
- Penetration testing
Compliance support for HIPAA, PCI, CMMC or SOC 2 has its own page at two firms and is mentioned by four more. Two firms have dedicated AI pages, and five offer co-managed IT for businesses that keep an internal IT lead. The site’s guide to 24/7 cybersecurity in Spokane shows which firms offer which services.
Comparing Outsourced and In-House IT Costs
The study also compares managed IT plans with the cost of hiring staff. In the Spokane–Spokane Valley metro area, network and computer systems administrators earned an annual mean wage of $93,060 in May 2023. Computer user support specialists earned $64,400. Both figures come from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, and benefits, payroll taxes, training and software tools come on top of them.
At $140 per user per month, a managed IT plan doesn’t reach one administrator’s mean salary until about 55 users. For that reason, the study concludes that outsourcing usually costs less for businesses with fewer than about 50 employees. Larger organizations, or those running specialized systems, may still prefer in-house staff. Many pair that staff with an outside firm through co-managed IT.
